Drop a pin, set a radius
Settings, System, Lightning Delay. Type your ZIP to move the map, then drag the pin onto your dock. Set the radius, one to fifteen miles. Set your operating hours so it only checks while people are on the water.

A strike, a countdown, a push
Every two minutes RecHQ checks for storms near you and, when one is close, for cloud-to-ground strikes inside your radius. One strike and a yellow 30-minute countdown appears in everyone's app header. Everyone working today gets a push that stays on screen until they dismiss it.

Thirty quiet minutes and the all-clear pushes to everyone who was told to stop. A manager can start a delay by hand when the sky says so, extend one, and clear a manual one. A delay from a detected strike runs its full course.

Does it work outside the US?
It's built for US operations. The free storm check that decides when to look for strikes uses the National Weather Service.
Can a manager call a delay without a strike?
Yes. Start 30-min delay, then extend it if the sky says so. A manual delay can be cleared early. A delay from a detected strike runs the full thirty minutes from the last strike.
Which plan includes it?
Complete, and the 14-day trial. Strike data is billed per check, which is why it sits in the top tier.
My radar app showed lightning and RecHQ didn't call a delay.
Radar apps plot in-cloud lightning too. RecHQ only reacts to cloud-to-ground strikes inside your radius, which is what stops work on a dock.
