We didn't study rental operations. We run them.
RecHQ comes from the team behind three rental companies on Tampa's Riverwalk: Riverwalk Boating Company, eBoats Tampa and Paddle Pub Tampa. Every feature exists because our own fleet needed it.
We ran serious operations on a pile of spreadsheets, group texts, clipboards and reminder apps. Rental is an operations business. The margin is in uptime: boats in service, crews trained, inspections passed, shifts covered. The tools we could buy were generic field-service software, or point solutions that solved one slice and ignored the rest.
So we built RecHQ. The boats on one side: tickets, scheduled maintenance, parts. The crew on the other: schedules, time clock, chat, training. In one app, so a boat with a bad bilge pump is off Saturday's schedule.
RecHQ runs our boats every day in Tampa. We are the first customer of everything we ship. Now it's open to operators everywhere.
